Our Mission

Southwest Health Career Institute’s mission is to:

bulletDevelop educational programs that allow students to obtain the skills needed for an entry-level position in their chosen field;
bulletContinually assess the advances in the medical, dental, and massage industries and develop educational programs that will prepare the students for these advances;
bulletProvide faculty and staff who have the experience and skills necessary to accommodate the student’s needs in every aspect of the educational process.

 

 

Company Profile

Southwest Health Career Institute was incorporated in July 1993 under the name “Dental Auxiliary Training Academy.”  The school was originally located at 8400 Osuna Road NE in Northeast Albuquerque, and offered a Dental Assisting Certificate Program and Continuing Education for Dental Assistants.  In January 2000, the school was relocated to 5981 Jefferson NE, Suite A and was renamed “Southwest Health Career Institute (SWHCI).”  At that time, SWHCI began offering certificate programs in Medical Assisting and Massage Therapy and continued with its certificate program in Dental Assisting.  In 2003, the Medical Billing & Coding certificate program was added.
